The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
Thanks Nelly. I have read the article a few times and I cannot understand it, particularly after looking at the map. I hope they improve the explanation.
Weather watch looks ok. Maybe a tad warm! For last 4 or 5 days it’s been predicting 12 or 13 at start and 14-16 at finish. Gentle breeze. Decent for Oct in Mancs.
I live in middle of route and road closure signs went up later than in previous years. There are very extensive closures in Timperley (where i live) and a minority of people go nuts about it. Its like one day and generates tonnes of money for the area (if all that is what some peeps care about). I remain concerned by how I am going to get to start and back again. Training has not gone well and least prepared ever been. Will be taking it very easy. Not feeling love for race for next Spring. Will see how I get on Sunday and also how well organised it is. Might be more interesting in one of the Threshold Ultras - RTTS over a weekend if shelling out that kind of money
