Velociraptor when someone asked about Hanneke on another thread a few days ago I replied to the query on the basis of having seen the quote on the last page. Although my intention in the reply was to express sadness that a longstanding fetchie had stepped back in response to comment(s) received, I realise it probably sounded like criticism of the comment made that caused her to step back. I'm really sorry if it came across as criticism of your comment - which looks perfectly justified to me

No apology needed, TR. People who don't go on the Over 50s or Mundane threads wouldn't have seen any of this, and there's been a very recent instance on the site of the concern for a longstanding Fetchie who suddenly stopped posting sadly being justified.

H contacted me a few weeks ago to let me know she was deleting her account. She said that the outlook for her was not looking at all good. She classed closing the account as part of some life admin that would reduce any future burden on her sibling.
