Bjork would be a good one for me. I loved her first solo album but didn’t really follow her career afterwards

I really need to get back to this but work hasn't been exactly conducive to my normal 8 hrs of music listening.

FergusG - Pavement are one of my favourite bands of all time. I adore Steven Malkmus.

Finally finished my list.

Will hopefully get the time to post the last 20 years or so before the year ends.

Duo - Not sure how I managed to complete miss Pavement back in the day. I think I must’ve stopped listen to radio stations during the Stock Aitken and Waterman years, so only heard what my mates were buying or whatever was getting played on the student union jukebox.

I’ve added Crash by the Dave Matthews Band for 1996. I thought I could hear vague similarities to Red Hot Chilli Peppers in some songs, yet others sounded bland and inoffensive ala Jack Johnson. 1997 next, and about to try Third Eye Blind (yet another band I’ve never heard of before).

Third Eye Blind was enjoyable, so off to 1998 next and will try The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel. No idea what to expect!

Actually saw third eye blind back in 97 when they were supporting the Seahorses. I seem to remember them being very average. That Neutral Milk Hotel album is good although I don’t rate it as highly as some do.

Still enjoying Neutral Milk Hotel, and currently listening to The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips for my 1999 choice. About to explore what options I’ve got for 2000, but haven’t got high expectations for the decade as a whole.
