I might actually finish this challenge this year, having made it as far as 2014 now...
2013: Modern Vampires of The City by Vampire Weekend
2014: Lost in The Dream by The War on Drugs
Really enjoying both. Vampire Weekend has been likened to Paul Simon’s Graceland, and it’s an enjoyable upbeat listen. The War on Drugs has the odd hint of Tom Petty about it, and it is also getting plenty of repeat playings.
Might play them both for a few more days before heading off to explore 2015.

Still plodding away at this - it takes ages when you choose to give every album some proper airtime rather than just ticking them off and moving on to the next.
2015: I Love You Honeybear by Father John Misty
2016: Teens of Denial by Car Seat Headrest
I’m not sold on the Father John Misty one yet, but Car Seat Headrest was an enjoyable listen with hints of the Pixies to it.
I also got distracted by going backwards in time, and adding Rumours and Parallel Lines to my collection.

Right, I'm going to start this, though I have a lot to think about going back to 1966.

Revolver - The Beatles
Blonde on Blonde - Bob Dylan
The Incredible String Band
Aftermath - Rolling Stones
Sounds of Silence - Simon and Garfunkle
Ascension - John Coltrane
I own Pet Sounds and Revolver, but I'll probably have to listen to all the others as well just to make an informed choice. I'll get back to you...

Enjoy the journey Groundhog.
I finally crossed the finish line with;
2017: Slowdive by Slowdive
2018: Joy as an Act of Resistance by Idles
2019: Why Hasn't Everything Already disappeared by Deerhunter
Slowdive is an enjoyable piece of shoe gaze if you're in the right mood, whilst the Idles is a bit more of a lairy, shouty affair. Not sure how I'd describe Deerhunter's guitar and synth combination, but it's worthy of a few more plays and got the thumbs up from my 16 year-old daughter. Does that mean I'm still 'with it'?
