gibside was excellent . tough course as you would expect if you know this place but wouldn't be boring if they were all the same . I don't really do much park run these days but I'll make an exception for this one . well done all involved in putting it together .

Back with computer access having visited family in the north for the weekend, so everything should be updated in the header now. Gibside was lovely. And the face of the Marshall was a picture when I was running back up the hill afterwards, saying was I mad to do the course for the second time as a cool down...but telling her it was the third running of the course as I'd done the route as a warm up too. 9+ miles of the course and nearly 1,000 ft of ascent - I've put it down in my training log as Hill Work! Always have a little 'internal chuckle' when you have the spectators near the end shouting things like 'you can take the guy in front', or 'push as hard as you can to the finish, you're nearly there' when you're just out for an easy jog...though snayak did a cheeky look over the shoulder as he rounded the final corner, before having a sit down after the finish line |
