Jovi Runner Feb 2014 3:40pm, 12 Feb 2014 2,785 posts	0 Jovi Runner Fountains Abbey is pretty much inaccessible on a Saturday on public transport other than an early bus from Harrogate and a 2.5 miles jog to the start! Would be a nice scenic warm up jog though!

Once a Sprinter ... Feb 2014 9:44pm, 12 Feb 2014 129 posts	0 Once a Sprinter ... I ran one of these last August. Straight along the river for 2.5k and back again! Very friendly with communal warm-up - being English I stayed at back and did my own stretches & pretended not to know what was going on!

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
