SPR you can't have all the big guys at all the big races.
In sports like Tennis, the strain is a lot less so you can have the majors and then the other Masters events that although not compulsory are pretty mandatory if you want to maintain a good ranking.
They are trying to do it in Ironman and it's a nice idea to get all the big guys racing against each other regularly and full out, but the sports both Ironman and professional cycling are too taxing to make that realistic.

Cheg - Agree it is impossible atm. A calendar reform could help (it's on the table but I don't think GTs are being touched). There has been talk of reducing the Giro and Vuelta to two weeks, but that will likely reduce their prestige as well.
Landa is supposed to be going to Sky as well.

How does he know who they are signing? Unless they are a Tinkoff rider.
Who is coming to the end of their contract?
He has been slagging off Sagan, maybe he is coming over, but the Sprinter/GC combo failed last time they did it with Cav.

Sagan is still under contract, but I expect he could be bought out for the right amount. Sagan has just proved he doesn't need support in GTs, and they would provide him with better support in the classics.
Tinkoff would know about Sky signings as agents, etc talk.
