Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

They’ve done in rows the last few years. Starting at the school, work down the field ans repeat.

NE, yep pretty certain it’s from race funds. Lump sums in the 1000s to local charities, footpath maintenance, bridge replacement (I think there’s two now), food banks, etc. He does seem to give a fair bit back to the local community.

If it was all about cash he could charge double the entry fee. It’s a “relatively” cheap 100 compared to many, especially given the logistics involved.

As well as encouraging others to donate and selling charity places.

Can’t believe I’m defending him 😂

If that's genuinely the case, then I have slightly misjudged him :-)

Good luck to all of you doing it next weekend, I shall cross my fingers it's a bit cooler for you. There's an off-chance I may still be lurking in the vicinity, in which case I shall come along and give you a cheer.

Be good to see you. A kick up the arse would probably be more use :)

Sensible guidance released from LL50/100 HQ just about what they’ve got in place/are requesting.

Very sensible
Potentially starting later and the cut off worries me a bit though, to avoid congesion they’ll want to send the speedies off first won’t they?

I imagine if you start 30mins after the first wave then you'll be allowed an extra 30mins to get through the checkpoints surely!
I expect i'll go into the hall for the briefing to sample the atmosphere rather than a facebook link.

That's me finished up work now so time to get on with race admin (still need a couple of bits and pieces )and get my pre-race sports massage tomorrow.

I had a sports massage last week and the brusing he left on my thigh has only just gone. My knee did start to improve after it though so although probably a coincidence I’m gladf I went.

I do hope it cools down a bit. This mormning’s 6 flat road miles - with full pack checking the way I intend to pack it is right - had my hr up at threshold for a gentle jog-walk :(

Stoosh - on the centurion ones with a staggered start, they had runner specific cut offs

The covid guidance is quite sensible which is nice. I assume the 100 will be a mass start still?
