So what is a dibber then? Iβve got one at home to plant bulbsβ¦
I assume it is like a key/chip you need to check into some checkpoints?

I thought that there wasn't a dibber this year? I thought they were using some GPS technology that has a 20-metre radius? But may have got that wrong.

Orienteering uses them mainly ........ races i've run with non elctronic "dibbers" will have a complicated "hole punch" basically with different patterns on attached to a gate post etc somewhere and i'm assuming we punch our race number with the dibber to prove we've been to an unmanned CP (Hardmoors races use this system .......... but that could be total rubbish in this case

I was reading race reports which mentioned dibbing but nothing in the race emails so it might not be relevant with the trackers.
Centurion use the trackers with proximity rather than timing matts now I think for example

This is the first year that they will have used a new company. Previously it was the company linked to SI Entires.

Also I guess that 'dibbing' would be frowned on in COVID-19 terms?

Dibbing shouldnβt be an issue for Covid. As long as you donβt lick the dibber or the dibber box thingymabob.
