Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

God help us, don't be so paranoid. Everyone's opinion has equal merit, of course it does. And who's losing their shit anyway? B

I think he’s been a prick in farcebook, and at the event before, with posts and comments about route changes etc. He needs to focus on being an RD, not a comedian.

He's just a bit of a knob who thinks he's funny but isn't.

He is also, to give him his due, a damn good RD who puts on a classic event, does it really well, and donates 10s of Β£1000s to local charity from the proceeds. I find that if I avoid facebook and the his race briefings he's quite bearable :-)

Who does run one of the charities? Save me doing my own research into it.

Flanker, does the money that goes to charity actually come from the race proceedings? I've heard from several sources that all he does is "encourage" other people to use the race as a vehicle to raise money and in practical terms does not donate a penny himself. This certainly was the case a few years ago, but if that's changed I would be agreeably surprised and of course happy to be corrected. My observation has been that he would skin a flea for its hide.

ML in money making, in it for himself, shocker!

To be fair it’s a great race.

Original plan was to drive up from Liverpool early Friday morning after a night visiting daughter, but she’s working Thursday now, so heading up from home Friday morning

Hoping the traffic isn’t too horrendous.
Expect to arrive about lunchtime now, I guess it’s going to be busy by then
Wondering which way the campsite is filled, is it the later the further away from schhol, or the other way around?
Getting excited.
