So, training went tits up. I’ve done 2 0.5 mile runs in just over 5 weeks. The first one I limped home, the 2nd was ok but my legs and back gave me just a bit too much trouble to carry on. Am attempt at running tomorrow and see how the next 3 weeks go.

Chevvy Chase was a great last long run. Descent from The Cheviot probably steeper than anything on the UTLD100. And boy do my quads know about it. Taper mode activated. Nothing of any distance but when legs back to normal some higher intensity work.

Hay is in the barn and all that bollox.
Probably two more jogs as part of coaching Monday and Tuesday plus some static cycling in the garage but today's run was the last of any significance before Friday evening!

I’ve had a less conventional approach. I ignored the increase training by 10% approach after starting with a 9 mile week, then 14. This week I’ve done 48 and not hurt myself so surely a 50 should be no issue.
