So, who’s going to be online 1st thing a week on Saturday to try and get an entry in the 5 minute window of opportunity?

I'm not, but I may throw my name into the volunteer heap.

Probably.
The request for volunteers has already gone out, and it usually fills up nearly as fast as the race (which I'm sure is nothing to do with getting a guaranteed entry for the following year ;-)) so better get in there soon.

I saw the request for volunteers had already been initiated; I'm not going to sign up 11 months in advance for a big volunteering commitment when I don't want a place in the event the following year, but I may see if they have any slots needing filled at short notice. There are plenty of other local events that do struggle for volunteers and I'd rather prioritise those ones.

I’m going to have a go at entering the 50. My thoughts over the last year have been round the 100. But after seeing what course does to the sharp end runners, never mind those out two nights I’ve decided against that. Plus I still have to try for a time that I’m happy with through running (I’m more than happy with my walk performance last year).
