Sorry, far too eager, meant to write: oh no, please don't make me go to the lakes. I hate it there. I'm bored of it.

And please don't make me eat cake or run up and down hills.

It was a both thing. Which of the two do you really expect me to not want to do? ![]() Dave is sitting just -------> on the sofa btw. We really should talk to each other ![]() |

Kinky, my Therfield Heath circuit is at http://www.fetcheveryone.com/routes-view.php?id=260318 a mixture of grass, trail, slope down through some woods, edge of farm fields, past a defunct firing range, chalk hills over the golf course. Starts and finishes at the heath pavilion. I'm hoping to go there for a hill training run soon if you want to meet up for me to show you the route, perhaps once in each direction. Also, Royston Runners are organising the Harvest Trail HM at Therfield Heath on Sunday 21st September, and although their route isn't being published, I suspect that some of it uses my circuit. Flanker, possibly those are the hills which can be seen from the A10. I'm familiar with the "hills" around Haslingfield due to my cycling, but I don't know about off road paths. The road between Barrington and Haslingfield goes over a nice steep (well, steep for round here ;-)) hill, and isn't too busy. I've seen signs for footpaths, but I've never used them. |

Racingwise for next year, I'm already in for Bolton Hill marathon because it was free ![]() The only race that isn't particularly relevant to UTLD that I'm not prepared to give up is VLM, but that's only in April so should still be OK? I don't mind at all missing out on all the road stuff I did this year - a HM, 30km and 20M, but I'd still like to do Windermere marathon... |

F, yes that was the paths I was thinking off. Used to drive past them daily and often enviously watched people running them while sat in a queue of traffic! Might have to break the train journey home at Royston one day and try it!
