Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It was Most Hard Underfoot and much of the time I didn't dare look up and enjoy the views.

The views behind us as we went up to the highest bit were fantastic. It'd almost be worth learning to run backwards up hills. And I loved looking down at Windermere and thinking of the the future. I wonder what the views would have been like during the dark bits?

I'm pretty sure that during the event I thought the 100 would be madness, but now I'm looking out for anyone who fancies joining me on the full loop next year... ;-)

It was quite a tricksy run though, mostest hardest underfoot I've ever encountered. Great to share it with some of the best Fetchies around. :-)

Anna - stop it! Having initally had the same 'it'd be madness' thoughts, I've decided I'll be doing the full but not next year. I want another year doing the 50, especially if as rumoured they use the other half of the course for the 50 next year. And I want time to spend a couple of weeks up there, recce it all a couple of times, and get some proper fell running training in first.

there's a brief overview of the route in my gallery (ready for the half written blog!) and I have it in various electronic formats depending on if/what mapping software you use...
