It was Most Excellent, Kev. It was particularly great to see some new (to me) and stunning areas of the Lakes.

It was Most Hard Underfoot and much of the time I didn't dare look up and enjoy the views.

The views behind us as we went up to the highest bit were fantastic. It'd almost be worth learning to run backwards up hills. And I loved looking down at Windermere and thinking of the the future. I wonder what the views would have been like during the dark bits?
I'm pretty sure that during the event I thought the 100 would be madness, but now I'm looking out for anyone who fancies joining me on the full loop next year...
It was quite a tricksy run though, mostest hardest underfoot I've ever encountered. Great to share it with some of the best Fetchies around.

Anna - stop it! Having initally had the same 'it'd be madness' thoughts, I've decided I'll be doing the full but not next year. I want another year doing the 50, especially if as rumoured they use the other half of the course for the 50 next year. And I want time to spend a couple of weeks up there, recce it all a couple of times, and get some proper fell running training in first.

there's a brief overview of the route in my gallery (ready for the half written blog!) and I have it in various electronic formats depending on if/what mapping software you use...
