Crochet Wobbling? It probably won't have the same drape as alpaca/silk but depends on the pattern. If it's quite a dense stitch pattern it may be too stiff. If it's open it might be more tricky to block properly

Of course the Ravelry response is 'try a swatch and see if you like it'

Thanks Meg, it’s quite a dense stitch (and yes crochet) so I guess it’ll have to be Drops then.
