Thanks all. Yes it is side lean stitch. I’ve decided to leave it as it is; we’re on holiday next week so I won’t have time to put a border round it, finish it and wash it before the woman I’m making it for goes on mat leave.

I made a thing with some of the yarn that Girlie dyed in Fetch colours. It's for me, but eL Bee! is modelling it because I've got really bad hair at the moment.

But surely the hat would be ideal to hide you hair?

I meant the hair that pokes out of my nose and ears ;)

I've got half the skein left. That hat was 168 stitches; I'm going to see how the colours land over 165 stitches, at which the maths for the crown shaping should still be straightforward.

Latest project, 'Parcel' by Carol Feller, as I liked the previous pattern I did by her. I didn't have enough stitch markers (4 cables each side = 16 markers) and the ones I had didn't stand out very well anyway, so I made my own. Yarn is lovely and soft and bouncy, and it's DK so knitting up a lot quicker than the 4ply jumper I did before.
