Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Beautiful. I never thought of rivers for paddling but very doable if not too fast flowing. :-) G

Double paddle kayak would get you further faster than SUP to be sure. SUP is lovely, but gets you nowhere! :-) G

It's also a tidal river which makes it fun if going in the wrong direction.

I'm after location advise again I'm afraid. My son and I are heading to Portsmouth for a couple of days next week so will be looking for somewhere to paddleboard. Google tells me Stokes Bay is the place to go. Does anyone know the area to confirm or deny that?

Sorry, I didn't know anything about Portsmouth - except my dad used to keep a boat in Gosport and it's tidal and don't get stuck out in the channel when the tide is out? Not much use?

Fantastic new kayak experience yesterday - sprint or racing kayak. Examples:

Omgosh, so ooo wobbly! But good fun and so fast, once you get going!

As you can see from the training log it's quite a bit of swimming, not just paddling!

Most of my paddling is on rivers.
