MM, well done on getting out there. I do most of my rowing outdoors even in winter. I rarely need more than one layer once I've warmed up, even on a really cold day. So I can imagine how hot and bothered you'd get in a summer house!

Mile and minute ticked off now.

The minute is a rankable workout. I did it after my mile, with a break to get my HR down a bit (finally got my belt working, yay, though I broke one screw and lost another). Managed to keep sub-2 pace all the way, much to my surprise. Finished on 259m, which puts me at 79/119 in my class. Not displeased with that TBH!

great rowing all - not done any of the rankable heptathlon events yet, just the 3 none ranked ones. Debating the 1000m and the 1 minute this afternoon but I ran 12 miles this morning so might put it off for another day.

Hat tip and respect back your way Muttley - so disciplined on those longer workouts.

Did a bike ride this morning and I'm planning on doing the mile and 1 minute tonight after work. Never rowed a mile before so that'll be interesting.

MM, I row in my shed which is freezing in the winter and too hot in the summer, so it's ideal for training.;-) The advantage is that I don't have to stop if it's raining.

Minute done. 316m. Not fun.

Doing a recovery now then going to give the mile a crack.

Tee hee, well you beat me by 36 metres! Did the 20 minutes this morning - it wasn’t pretty.

I’m sitting on the erg now looking at that 1609m distance and trying to convince myself that this is a good idea.

I think that's why I did it the other way round Nellers! Treated the 1609 as a warm up.
