Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

This paper may be of interest regarding carbohydrate restriction vs energy restriction:
link.springer.com

Seems to suggest acute carbohydrate restriction alone is helpful.

That sounds interesting. Thanks @Grast_girl . I've pinned that and will have a read later.

I've checked my weight this morning and am now spot on my target weight of 60kgs. Hopefully I'll be able to maintain it now. 🤞

Well done Ness. Probably should point out that it's helpful from a health perspective, not weight (as they didn't measure that).

Well done Ness and thanks from me also G_g I’ll have a read.

As I’m boating I’ve not weighed this week - no bad thing. But continuing to focus on protein I’ve even brought my ninja blender so I can have a protein smoothie today.

Thanks, all. 😊

Mr Ness makes a protein shake for me to have at breakfast time, so thats on 6 days a week (don't have it on the days we go to 'Spoons). After discovering these....

... at the Lidl on Gran Canaria, Mr Ness buys us these to have as a post weight training workout drink.
