This is my day
up about 3 - bagel and then a porridge bar over a period of about an hour washed down with electrolyte drink
swim start 2 gels (about 6:10)
swim exit - gel as I run to T1
change drink sports drink as run to bike and exit T1 leave bottle with marshal
1st lap of lake (flat) more fuel TBC!
timer set to bleep every 10 mins - drink
every hour (approx. 14m list on top of bento bag with approx. location) gel (aero bottle will have about 10 gels + in it)
when I can nibble on solid stuff such as kendle mint cake (mint settles tummy) or (new this weekend!) toasted HXB pieces
anything left in last 2m consume as the road gets rough and you need to slow down
T2 gel and drink whilst doing minimal change (can't waste time with full change unless I am having a storming day)
take bottle on run - refill with High 5 at aid stations
take 1 gel a mile (using high 5 in a soft gel flask and kendle min gels (liquid after eights!) will have 2 caffeine gels and caffeine chews as back up for last lap. gummy chews for a change every now and then

get over finish line
collapse in small heap trying not to hyperventilate

I also have a variety of gel flavours to stop boredom on the run!
I'm looking at 17 slow hours
that's a lot of gels!
My dentist (when I get to see them been 2yrs now!) will have a field day

That sounds good Pix.
Hardest bit is to stick to it.
Force it all down!

Yes, it will be but be mindful about how important it is! That half was a good learning experience...
All I can say is that whenever I was on the podium, it was because I got the fuelling right!

In fact, you need it to be part of your training regime, fine tuned like your body and mine on race day!
You have this Pix!!! Think fuel and the rest will follow :)

Morning all, another 2lbs lost this week, that's 3 weeks in a row now, pretty chuffed with that, hoping to keep it going.

Have a warm week all, keep drinking the water
