Good to know - thanks Pix. I don't mind paying a bit more for kit that lasts and is good.
I'll have plenty of colourful cycle tops to offset the black! Thankfully they still fit.

In terms of padding (and it's not much of a recommendation, because everyone's got their own backside requirements), I've preferred Craft to Gore. But until you've sat on them for an hour or so, you won't know - so it's a bit of pot luck I guess.

Very much pot luck! I don't get on with Gore or the super expensive Assos seasoned cyclists rave about. The only non bib shorts I can wear without issues are Rapha... Also expensive but I have ugly grey once, bought heavily discounted, and you can wear them under baggy shorts, so you don't see them. I don't really mind the grey... They are super comfy.

Not very unicorn like but it's nice big (can go over kit!) fluffy and I like the logo (a reminder that I'm working to a big goal)
and only £35 and another small company (I do like their products too)

It's from the Kendal Mint Company (they do a yummy gel that's like liquid after eights and their recovery drink is great too). They embrace the green idea too with reusable gel flasks and 10 portion gel packs (all recyclable) and all packaging too
(I'm a big fan! The customer service is brilliant too in case you are a muppet like me! I managed to order my stuff twice last year and they cancelled one for me :-D )
Obviously the original climbers used to fuel off Kendal Mint Cake hence the What's your Everest?
For me my big goal still is (and will continue to be until I die or beat the bastard!) the Outlaw irondistance tri
So this is a constant reminder
and being big and fluffy I can wear it over kit

(I use the mint bars on the bike and gels on the run, the recovery drink I love and I have the energy drink but can't drink it as strong as they suggest)
So obvs I will need to find a unicorn skort to go with this top at some point! haha
