I have a kalenji- 2 little bottles and room for a bladder in the back pocket. I need to try it with all the kit I need to carry for the ultra but I think it's going to be a bit too small. Perfect for runs where you don't need to carry your life though. I also have a flip belt that is ok, but I find it fiddly to get stuff out of.

I was looking a a Kalenji. £29.99 down from £39.99. it includes a 1 litre bladder, so with two bottles, that would give a 2 litre capacity... Not sure I want bottles on the front though. I am thinking poles, rubbing, them getting in the way. Which is probably why the Harrier vests sit high: no pole interference... *Off to look at Harrier again"

I love my flip belt, so comfy and easy to get things in and out.

Ohhh Flanci have said prototype juniper skort arrives today so much for no more spending & I bought some 2nd hand Nordic forest fleece last night! I had them in medium but too big so I sold them I said I’d buy them again in autumn but I do love a bargain.

I have the 10l Harrier vest. It does sit high up, but the bungy cord means you can flatten the top pocket down. I needed something bigger than my Anoije vest which I love. I don’t use a bladder just soft flasks.
If you are carrying poles, which I am not, I can see the benefits of the design and where the poles fit.
MrL bought one because he doesn’t like running with his cycling camelback. He is really happy with it as a replacement.

That is excellent feedback Lorraine! I am going to ask Harrier if they think my Osprey bladder from my cycling rucksacks would fit in their vest...

I have a Buddy pouch too...ideal for shorter runs. I don’t think they make them any more though?

As I want it for Nordic run/walking, the pole attachments and pole specific design is really important. I have an old inov8 I think it is running rucks sack, where the bladder wraps around your hips. I used that for Everest Marathon and the like but: bulky hips and poles not an option and the bladder has mould inside after many years of not being used. Good pack that tbough...
