Very enjoyable 4m trot this morning. Sunshine and blue skies. Ran between Horbury Signal Box and the fishing ponds opposite. Saw a beautiful Grey Heron stood very still in a shallow pond, probably waiting for his breakfast to swim past.

Delightful run over a mixture of lanes and tracks. Very steady pace and we stopped at one point to admire some wild crocuses. Sunshine! Whatever next?

7pm last night, 50 min. outing after covid jab in morning. No discernible impact...I was just as 'steady' as usual. ;) Prom to docks, beach to radar tower - tide a long way out - and along the beach before turning back by trail past leisure centre. prom, beach, coastal park - and home.

Frosty start to the day. 1c felt like -1c. Weekend Long Run, 15m at a very steady pace. Lovely sunrise over Pugneys Lake. Looked like two swans were building a nest on Newmillerdam. Very enjoyable.

My run today was really enjoyable. A mix of canal path and woodland path. Fabulous weather and good company but I was overdressed. I decided on a third layer on top when I was scraping ice off the car. Big mistake. Still, another 13 in the bank. Day off tomorrow.

[^ Blizzard: Newmillerdam, the woods and wagonway featured often in my training. Used to head out to Wintersett & Crofton on longer sessions.]
