Jono.
Lovely 4 miles this morning , a still river, the ribbons of cirrus clouds tinged with red and a mist that hung over the grass.

Early sounds to be a good call, Jono. Pretty much calm last night on the opposite coast, warm too for after sunset. A gnat's short of 6 miles in the hour.

Timed it well Rrunner. It was dry before my run and now so I got my timing well wrong today (although actually it wasn't too bad tbh)

Did 5 miles this morning as a virtual race. Would have been happy with sub 46 so delighted to be just a bit over 43 mins :)

This morning, I ended up running a hilly 2.5 miles to deliver a congrats card to a newly-qualified doctor friend of ours.

When I got back, I followed this up with six miles in the garden. Thankfully, it was flat and on dry grass so the lack of hills was nice. Even the 230-240 laps did not seem that boring. However, it was incredibly slow as a result of the u-turns.

My training runs are usually at around 8.45 min/mile pace for which my initial shorter run was well inside. The subsequent garden run was about 12.30 min/mile pace - effectively a marathon pace for just doing six miles.

Last night about 9, a strong W wind helped & hindered in equal measure. Tacking along the beach was fine but the 4 ft high sandhills along the prom forced an unexplored detour. Still, all's well - except for two tiny nicks on my nose that bled profusely for a while. No idea how...

50 min. for 4.7 miles.
