Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

To be fair, it's a good job I didn't come with the drama of this afternoon. I am sad to miss out on flapjack, hotpot, Tom Potson and Fetchie goodness though.

Why is this race so darned good? It really shouldn't be:-
- time of year
- suburban route
- open roads
- unexpected cow excrement
- hilly final 1.5 miles

But it is. Even if I did run 6 minutes slower than last year...

I think because it doesn't take itself too seriously it works. The organisers know all these factors should make it a shocking day out - but never is!

Roll on 2016....

That's a very good point RRR - the marshals were wonderful too!

it's a hard route to marshal, especially outside the garage.....

My favourite was the one alongside a turning with a fair tooting motorists who encouraged us all through saying 'it's nice of them to toot their support' :)

This year there was a police lady on the garage and I am sure all the marshals will appreciate your support.

It is a great day out and I always enjoy meeting fetchies. Considering I live on the 3 mile point, you'd have thought I would be good at the route, but I always find myself near the back.

Will be back again next year - look forward to seeing everyone again :)

I also liked the one who drew our attention to the old lady waving at us all from her window so that we could wave back :)

I waved to old lady, not sure who the marshal was at that point though.

Grandson was twitching the curtains pretending not to be watching, but the 1st 2 runners went through "as if being chased by a bear" :)
