In response to OP, this morning's race did go ahead, but with advise to wear a peaked cap and carry water. Though we were finished before the heat really came out to be honest. Another race on Wednesday which hopefully is after the heat wave. |

In other (but related news), eldest has got a four-day outdoor pursuits Year 7 trip in central Lancs tomorrow. She's not worried about the heat (half-Israeli) but bricking it that either the school or facility will cancel at the last minute...
