Thanks Brunski. It's a bit of a pain/shame to be sort of sidelined as I approach 45 years running! If needs be I'll just have to maintain the plodding/fast walking regime I've been forced into lately.

fetcheveryone before I raise a request , beyond exporting my entire log(which gave me error) is there a quick way to see what my max HR was in 2022? None of the summary graphics seem to show MAX

You have a very short run on 6th June that gives you a bad data max of 246. Next highest is 199 on 23rd April, which also looks like bad data. Then there's a 187 for a bike ride on 7th March (which is *probably* bad data, but it's towards the end, so it's possible it corresponded to a sprint). Then there's an entirely realistic 183 for a 5k on May 13th.

What error did you get when you tried the export? My guess is a memory error, as you currently have 17975 training entries, which is a fair few :-)

Fetch - Slightly different issue, excel gives an error on opening the downloaded file:

The file format and extension of 'Training_2023_01_11.xls' don't match. The file could be corrupted or unsafe

TrID reports the file as plain text, not xls.

I've added some more memory to the script, so it should cope with bigger logs; and I've removed the headers that state it's an XLS. It's just a CSV file anyway, so there's no point being wedded to an old MS format :-)

Maybe a feature suggestion - allow the headers of the training log to sort the table? Presumably that would be a local-side resource but maybe the tables aren't designed to be sortable?

Yes I agree with larkim.

If you could sort avg/max/b/mile like you can dist/time/pace/mph it would be helpful

About This Thread

Everything you need to know about training with a heart rate monitor. Remember the motto "I can maintain a fast pace over the race distance because I am an Endurance God". Mind the trap door....

Gobi lurks here, but for his advice you must first speak his name. Ask and you shall receive.

A quote:

"The area between the top of the aerobic threshold and anaerobic threshold is somewhat of a no mans land of fitness. It is a mix of aerobic and anaerobic states. For the amount of effort the athlete puts forth, not a whole lot of fitness is produced. It does not train the aerobic or anaerobic energy system to a high degree. This area does have its place in training; it is just not in base season. Unfortunately this area is where I find a lot of athletes spending the majority of their seasons, which retards aerobic development. The athletes heart rate shoots up to this zone with little power or speed being produced when it gets there." Matt Russ, US International Coach
