I often put the laundry on the indoor airer and then put the indoor airer outdoors to benefit from the outdoor weather. Plus if it starts raining, I can quickly go outdoors and bring the indoor airer indoors from outdoors. Of course if the weather is bad outdoors, the indoor airer stays indoors.

Today the indoor airer broke. So now I have to dry the laundry on the radiators and spend time and money on a new indoor airer.

Husband texted from a train just as I'd set out for a run: "It's raining, check the washing."

Ah well, it wasn't heavy rain and the sun came out afterwards.

I had washing out yesterday and it dried. Away to put washing on as tomorrow is supposed to be a nice day and I will also do the bedding in the morning

Lovely day down here on the South Coast. I hung the washing on the line at 10 o'clock & when I got it in at 2:30, most of it was dry. Only one or two items were damp around the edges

The weather is really strange for this time of year. We walked down to the shops about 11:30 & I kid you not, it was shorts weather.

I hope everybody else in Fetch land is experiencing the same kind of drying weather as us soft southerner's.

I got a load virtually dry today too (and we’re in Brontë country a long way from the south coast). Classic autumn drying day :-)

David _ you lucky man. The only thing I can get dry at this time of year is my mankini!

For lovers of the art of hanging the washing out:

Weather forecast: Shall I hang my washing or not ? Check here:

bbc.co.uk

Terminology: 'Fluffing' -- Going out and runninng your hands over the washing just to feel whether still moist. Sometimes not needed but we all like to fluff

'Melvyn' - where you run you fingers through your washing, you think it's damp but you're not sure. It could be dry. You leave out or take in? you've done a Melvyn'.

Also for sharing photos of 'Extreme pegging'. Plastic or wooden they are all embraced here :)
