To be honest Jock, I don't know what part of the country you live in, but, my heart bleeds for you. How awful that you aren't enjoying this unseasonal drying weather.

I fear as the Winter months draw in, you will suffer terrible "Fluffing" withdrawal symptoms.

Please know that you are in our thoughts.

Nice drying weather again on the South Coast. Weak sunshine & a stiff wind.

Got the washing in off the line at 3 o'clock & it was nearly dry. Have now got it on the clothes horse in front of the coal fire.

Too damp in the air here on the Welsh Borders, so radiators and clothes horse in operation. In fact, I looked out of the window this morning and thought I'd better roll the line up into its 'thingy' for the winter, as I won't be drying outside for a while.

I'm going to attempt it... bright although a tad chilly but a sea breeze may help!

For lovers of the art of hanging the washing out:

Weather forecast: Shall I hang my washing or not ? Check here:

bbc.co.uk

Terminology: 'Fluffing' -- Going out and runninng your hands over the washing just to feel whether still moist. Sometimes not needed but we all like to fluff

'Melvyn' - where you run you fingers through your washing, you think it's damp but you're not sure. It could be dry. You leave out or take in? you've done a Melvyn'.

Also for sharing photos of 'Extreme pegging'. Plastic or wooden they are all embraced here :)
