Bright but cold day here after several days of rain. I just need to get out of bed and actually put the washing in the machine!

When I was little, my parents had a corrugated plastic roof over the patio, and the washing went out there until it wouldn't dry any more. Then it went on the fireguard 😊. We didn't have an Aga with a pulley airer over. They're good over the stairs.

We often dry duvet covers over main upstairs bannister

Stunning sunny autumn day here. Washing is definitely going out (in fairness there’s no wind, and it’s probably a waste of time but it’s still going out)

Terminology: 'Fluffing' -- Going out and runninng your hands over the washing just to feel whether still moist. Sometimes not needed but we all like to fluff

'Melvyn' - where you run you fingers through your washing, you think it's damp but you're not sure. It could be dry. You leave out or take in? you've done a Melvyn'.

Also for sharing photos of 'Extreme pegging'. Plastic or wooden they are all embraced here :)
