Have missed this thread this year for some reason... my number arrived on Saturday, just when I got in from my last long run, eeeek! I'm hoping for some local advice (Nelly, are you here?!)- any good pubs for post-marathon drinks? I'm thinking somewhere reasonably near the finish (especially as I'm staying in the vicinity at the ibis in Salford quays) but far enough away that it's not totally hoaching And is there any plan for fetchie meet-ups? (now off to read the rest of the thread and may learn the answer to that...)

I'm not sure I'd class it as a "good pub", but it's a nice 5/10-min stagger from the finish line and convenient for the Metrolink back home for me (or was before I moved home)!
