Thank you Manchester what a day much better than Edinburgh !!!! And a massive 12 minute personal best to ease inside the magic 315 and be good for age for London ! Just shows if you put the training in you will see the results !

I'm just going to copy and paste my fb status and blog tomorrow when I'm feeling better.
.
Time 4:02:49.
A 10 sec
Mixed feelings. Given the thing that went wrong it's a good time but had a problem on route from mile8 I've never encountered before that lost me 6-8 mins in 'stoppage' time and 45mins in the medical tent at the finish being rehydrated.
I'm ok apart from the persisting stomach cramps.
Im exhausted and heading to bed to cuddle a hot water bottle and hope the frequent dashes to the loo stop soon.
Snogs- saw you coming in to the finish and shouted but not sure you heard me.

3:12:15 and a new 5 minute PB, negative split and the best marathon i've run to date, huge confidence gained from it for future marathons. Would recommend his race 100%, stayed in media City area and 10 minutes from start/finish makes this an ideal race, good crowd support and entertainment throughout.

I had an excellent time goofing about. Started far too far forward and was overtaken by most of the buses by the end, but running with a great mate and playing about with the crowd more than made up for it.

excellent deegee, loved the spectator dressed as the Grim Reaper holding a sign, which read *The end is Nigh* towards the end of the marathon. made me laugh.
Mind you if he'd been a bit further down the course, where a bloke had collapsed, it would made a great / strange picture opportunity.

Great race! No PB for me but a second sub-3 in two months. Hoping to push to low 2.50s in Copenhagan at the end of May, so good prep for that. Glad everyone had a great experience! Can't believe that first 'mile marker' was positioned a 1km, not the best start! Seemed very well organised and the 3hour pacer at the end was very encouraging. Great stuff.
