Steady, pull out, we need a fetchpoint coordinator !
I finally got myself entered for this just before the end of 2011 how many weeks did someone say *gulp* first official training run was on new year's day, only a couple of miles, but good to kick things off. oh, and I kind of bruised my foot dealing with Heaton Park's gate (why do they shut at 5, for goodness sakes ;)), but should be okay to carry on with training tomorrow after 2 days rest. Planning on 3 marathons this year, Manc is no.1 on the list

I do. I live literally yards from the stadium where the finish line is. I had to do this marathon, it would have been really rude not to
It's not a particularly scenic course Hipps but will be crammed with people you know

Jen - it just so happens I was just looking at the course map. Whilst I agree, for the main, the course isn't that scenic, it'll be nice for about 5 miles in the country lanes around Dunham Massey. Also, I don't think I've read anywhere about a stadium finish and looking at the course map I don't think we go as far into the park as the stadium.
