I know - but I'll probably still be recovering :) bit of a bitch, but you can't have everything. I'll be there for the full one though :)

It's been quiet in here... only 17 weeks tomorrow until the big day. I hope everyone's training is going well.

I did my last run of 2011 this afternoon, with a 12-miler including approx 7-miles on the GMM course.

Monsenb - my 16 week plan for VLM starts on Monday. So far I've been base building to ensure I'm ready to start knocking out the long runs. I feel I'm about where I want to be, but my first proper indication is likely to be at the Four Villages HM towards the end of January.
My plan is to race VLM and then just enjoy running past home in GMM.

First task when I am back at work on Tuesday is work out a training plan :-) Although I only really use the plan for when to slot in the long runs. I have sound enough base fitness this time (unlike Chester where I was starting from more or less zilch 16weeks before the mara due to injury). I have been keeping up with a 13 miler most weeks since Chester. I'll be running 4 villages and Wilmslow half on the run up by the sound of it there will be few us doing this (hopefully Wilmslow will be a PB attempt for me). Hoping to get some long runs done around some of the route for a bit of familiarisation and to break the monotony of my long runs along the mersey
