seriously, I think NSC and i started too far back.it *was* the correct placve but the pacer satrted way further up the field

I'm afraid my pacer was pretty poor as well - far too quick a pace from the off. I saw her walking, minus her flag, at 19 miles. Mind you, I couldn't pace anyone else - I'm useless at pacing.
I'm in Oxford and it's raining

I know what you mean Jono. I was slightly disapointed to come up just short of 3:15 but the memory of that run isn't something I'll forget for a while.

I think UltraDunc mentioned it (possibly in his blog) but the 3:30 pacer went off way too quickly as well. I set off about 10-15 seconds behind him and despite going through half way in just over 1:42 I'd already lost sight of him!

My 1 st marathon and loved it ,got 3 hrs 59mins ,59 secs ,pleased with that as only ever ran 22 miles before ,but the weather was poo .could,nt even open my gels ,def doanother 1
