Difficult to be sure with someone so young, but I'm not sure Dylan will hang around when he realises that success as a chef (or as a presenter) won't be handed to him on a plate. He might do well on the I'm a celebrity ... circuit for a few years.

I can’t be doing with that Christian bloke he is like nails down a chalkboard. He sounds more like Samaya every week!

Sure he only got star baker as he hadnt been good enough previously

Grumble over.

You know, I rather think young Dylan will stick to his guns and forge a career in his chosen path. Certainly he's got presence and charisma, but he's also got raw talent and massive potential. Watch this space.

Will be interesting to see. I think he might be a flibbertigibbet, and not just because he's so pretty.

There’s very few GBBO bakers who have made cooking their living, even less on TV (as far as I know).

Nadiya, John Waite and Kim-Joy spring to mind. Nancy also has a good home-making social channel and some books. I’ve also seen previous contestants in the food-festival demo tents.

I suppose those who do become successful professional chefs may slip out of our notice if we're not looking closely at the industry. I had no idea that someone who lived in my house for a while had gone on to become a high profile chef and restaurant owner until my daughter told me.

I’m a bit gutted. I would have loved a Georgie, Jill, Dylan final. Just can’t warm to Christian. However I acknowledge it’s about the baking and he had a good week.

@halfpint I agree that would have been a great trio for the final - Jill brings much more fun than Christian (or at least, that's what we are shown). However, he was strong this week and the final 3 will produce some great bakes I'm sure.
