I would have said cats' eyes, not having realised that each device has two reflectors so that cat's eyes could be used of an individual device.

I suppose each device has two pairs of reflectors, one pair facing in each direction. Although a driver would only see one pair!

This discussion made me think of Botts’ Dots, which I was told at the time were the same as Catseyes. Although looking it up now Botts’ Dots are different.
