We lost. The other couple played really well, and I didn't play particularly well, so no complaints. We'll still get some cash in our shop account for being runners up.

hard lines. At least you had some interest at the end of the season and got some cash to spend. (in my case it would be on equipment I didn't need)

Never mind Nick. Must have been a fun run getting to the final in any case.

I see you're at East Berkshire - what's the comparison like with The Berkshire, which I guess is pretty close by? Must be similar soil base; is it a similar style of course?

The Berkshire is massively expensive, private and difficult to get on to i believe.

very nice though

Yes, the Berkshire is much more prestigious and expensive and they have two courses.

As you say, similar soil base and characteristics.

I did play there a couple of months ago, a mate of mine's wife worked there and got us a free round there! She's left now though. 😔

Oh well, at least you got on once. It's great to play these sorts of places, even if it is a rare treat/member guest/freebie via a mate.

So your course must be pretty well-draining Nick through winter? I wish we could say the same, but I'm not really looking forward to the soggy parkland winter ahead.

I played on Saturday, and despite the forecast didn't really get rained on.

Four of us played some sort of texas scramble i think, i just played along, it was great fun and much more sociable than standard fourballs.

Might have been my last round of the year, no fun in the cold or wet

I played in a seniors competition on Wednesday. Scored gross 86, 38 points. The winner got 39 points. There were 3 of us on 38 and I came 4th on count back. Thought no prize, but just checked my bar account and I won £25.50! 😊
