I didn't queue this year, but picked up a couple of Fall LPs and a Charlie Parker LP later in the day. I adored Duran Duran in my youth, before I entered my Indie phase. Which has persisted for several decades.

I was a fan when I was about 12 quimby but quickly moved on. My wife is a lifelong Simon Le Bon fan however. There was a lot of Fall releases.

Collecting The Fall LPs seems like an expensive hobby!

Paid a fiver on Saturday night to see four psyche rock bands at a venue barely half a mile from my front door. Really good night and a fiver's worth in anybody's money. If you like Wooden Shjips and/or Moon Duo, don't miss Glasgow band Helicon if they come calling round your neck of the woods. Also a mention for Kundalini Genie ... very good too and worth a look if you get a chance.

Tonight it's 60s (and beyond) blues stalwarts Savoy Brown at Stramash in Edinburgh. Thought I was going on my owneo but my mate's just sprung for a ticket at the last minute ... and with him being a total abstainer, he'll be driving. Won a watch there, did I not ?

Jovi Runner
I've camped out overnight at quite a few stadiums over the years to ensure a front row spot for Bon Jovi gigs! I did the same for Bryan Adams a few years ago. The Bryan Adams one was at a NT property in Norfolk. I wasn't at the front of the queue but when the doors opened it was half a mile across a field to the front of the stage. It was a case of my running ability taking over and I managed to outrun everyone (most who couldn't manage more than 100m before they stopped) to secure my front row centre spot :) Always good to know the running training comes in handy for other things than racing :)

Circa Waves were brilliant. Very short set, though and the crowd were the most out of control I've seen since regularly watching Carter in the 90s.

Come to Scala in Tuesday Linds, that will be a mental crowd for The Blinders. I like Circa Waves but not at all keen on the new record.
