Ah yes, Dylan...I saw him twice a few years back, both times with my brother, who's a genuinely serious Dylan fan (whereas I've only got about 20 albums, clearly not serious at all...) and each time my brother was turning to me a few minutes into a song and saying "I think this is..." Not sure I recognised any songs in either gig, although I certainly knew most of them when you checked the setlists. I said never again...

Ian McCulloch always had a bit of a "difficult" reputation, as I recall, but yes, agree with Fitz that he was pretty incomprehensible last week! But at least the songs were recognisable :)

Likewise, Joe. Same experience with my older brother who is the bigger fan. Glad I went because of who he is, but never again.

The original Frank and the orginal Walters have retired now. It's their sons.

No, I made that up.

Pixies last night, absolutely brilliant. Have been one of my all time favourite bands since I was a teen. Bossanova & Trompe le Monde played in full, with a few extras thrown in at the end. Atmosphere was brilliant, great crowd, despite my teens pointing out how 'old' everybody was! First 'big' gig for my youngest (15) who has grown into a massive Pixies fan, she even wore the t-shirt I bought when I saw then in Edinburgh in 2005. Still buzzing!

Nice list Jeff! Saw Buena Vista Social Club in Havana, new years eve years ago, one of the best nights of my life. We're seeing English Teacher in Leeds, and are just debating getting Warrington Runcorn tickets for Manchester. Really enjoyed it when I've seen him before.
