Electric ballroom tonight for the last Jeff Rosenstock gig of the tour. Brought my wife and three of the kids for Valentines Day. ❤️

Absolutely loved last nights gig in one of my favourite venues with who is undoubtably my favourite musician. 2 hours of pure unadulterated, free from life’s worries, lost in the music feeling.

Post tour depression kicks in today, in a twist I am taking my parents to Manchester to see the Full Monty at the theatre!

Saw The Vaccines in Brighton last night supported by Divorce and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers. A great time was had. The new songs slot nicely into the set. The two supports were fun as well. Divorce seem better live than they were on record, too.

The Vaccines are good fun live, for sure! I haven't been especially excited by the last 2 or 3 albums, but it all makes sense live :)

Couple of gigs to report from last week - I saw Tapir! at Rough Trade East, first time I'd been to an event there, it's a kind of 'buy album get gig thrown in' type thing, you collect your CD or vinyl on the way in. I do like their album, it's quirky indie-folk, and they were pretty decent live too.

And slowdive at Hammersmith Apollo on Saturday were great, just wave after wave of glorious guitar noise washing over you. Call it shoegaze if you will, but it was quite cool to see a bunch of teenagers (including my son) loving them, and a band who wouldn't come close to playing a venue as big as that back when they were first around selling it out now. Support band Whitelands are worth checking out too, similar kind of dreamy indie guitar pop.

We saw Roisin Murphy at Ally Pally on Saturday. She is quite bonkers but puts on a tremendous show. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, apart form nearly coming to blows with BackPackTwat in front of me.
