Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Just had a lot of outlay: bought me and my sons tickets to two days of All Points East next August. LCD Soundsystem & Pixies on the Friday, Death Cab For Cutie performing Transatlanticism in full (& Postal Service aka Ben Gibbard's other band doing the whole of their Give Up album) on the Sunday. Including an encore Ben G will be on stage for about 25 songs!

I'm seeing Suede on Sunday (so happy I said it twice...) - enjoy tonight, Totriornottotri!
And the All Points East bill looks good, McGoohan! I'll be there for LCD Soundsytem + Pixies (and also for Loyle Carner a week before). DCFC & The Postal Service will be good too, but already booked to see Massive Attack in Bristol that day. Summer outdoor gig season is going to be a good one :)

I've already booked Manchester Punk Festival next year, also Leicester Indiepop all dayer and a Deadpunk all dayer in Bristol.

Not actually a gig . but this old prog fan had a great evening last night at the Barbican in London with Geddy Lee of Rush doing his book reading tour. They have had different guest interviewers each night of the tour ranging from Nicky Wire of the Manics to Phil Jupitas. We were lucky to have David Baddiel with a lot of the conversation about the first part of Geddy's book where he covers his strict Jewish upbringing and the fact his parents first met up in and thankfully both survived Nazi concentration camps before moving to Canada - I've found it a fascinating book so far (two-thirds through). As a bonus Alex Lifeson, the other remaining member of Rush, joined for a Q&A in the second half.
