Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

One of my sons is at Screen and film school in Manchester Linds, that is also part of Bimm. He loves it there.

Daisy is at LCCM in Southwark doing songwriting and production. She seems very happy there.

Apologies if this has been asked a million times but what is everyone's preferred method to find out about gigs? Signing up to all your favourite bands mailing lists/social media? Or various ticketing sites/venues mailing lists/social media? or perhaps an app that does it all ie venue/band/location etc?

Nice. Billy Bragg tomorrow for me. Sadly, it is at Bristol Beacon which is a crap venue (being all seated).

The new Bristol Beacon was a better venue than I remembered (unsurprisingly they have improved it - one small thing is that the seats are slightly offset so as to be placed like bricks meaning you can see between heads instead of into the back of heads. Good for us short folk).

Billy was in reflective and activist mood as befits a 40th anniversary tour. He's 65 now and I wondered allowed to my company how many of these gigs he has left in him. I've probably seen him 15 times in the past 32 years. I always leave with something.
