Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Is it possible?

I tracked a walk today using the strava app on my iPhone and I would like to upload it to my training log here. I know I can export a GPX file from strava to Fetch if I use my laptop, but as I'm feeling too lazy to go and turn it on, I was wondering if I can do it just using the iPhone or iPad?

Dunno, on my strava app it says you can connect to Garmin Connect so I suppose it depends if the Fetch autosuckery works from there.
I'm sure someone more qualified than me will be along in a sec :)

Hmmm, my Garmin and strava accounts were already linked in the Garmin -> strava direction but when I went into the strava app they weren't linked there. I've now linked them but today's walk isn't copying across to Garmin.

It's looking like I'll have to break out the laptop!

It's one-way traffic from Garmin to strava for activities. I don't think Garmin pulls in activity data from anywhere, though it will take calories from myfitnesspal.
I think Flanker was playing with coding something to transfer strava to Fetch, no idea if he ever got anywhere with it or was too busy running epic ultras.

Download the TCX files from the strava activities, then upload the TCX files to fetch. Pretty manual and will be a pain if you have a lot of activities though.

In strava go to settings then "download your data" in the bottom right of the screen. This will send you a link to download a zip file of all your strava activities. Then delete all the gpx files from that zip file that you don't want, leaving the ones from Dec & Jan. Finally upload the zip file here: http://www.fetcheveryone.com/training-import-zip.php

Hi guys. Asking the question the other way round, do Garmin do an app for phone (Apple or Android) to allow you to upload to Garmin Connect, so there can be auto transference to Fetch?

I suspect answer is no (cos they're trying to flog their watches and why would they let you get on to Garmin Connect without one of their famous devices.) :-) G

:-)G - there is/was a "Garmin Fit" app (on Apple at least) that loaded directly to Connect, but having just Googled it I understand it's been discontinued... probably for the reasons you state.
