Is anyone else finding their split data incomplete on importing to fetch in the last couple of days? I've 'lost' the last 2 splits of a 6.x and a 7.x mile run on Monday and Tuesday. Was ok on Sunday. Memory is not full, i cleared it out on Monday night after the first occurrence. I know there are some other folk over on 3.15 who are having this also.

My run this morning was OK but yesterdays training session - set up as Intervals on the 310 - bonked after 15 splits. It looks correct on Garmin Connect & |

having a few issues tonight trying to upload my training from today, getting an error message but sitting here with fingers crossed at the minute afraid to move. My garmin has also turned itself off in the process of not uploading. I have also went to try and move some of the temp files but cant find them, must get them cleared out too.

Sitting still seems to have worked, maybe an excuse for a new garmin.

Boing! Here's a thread from a dusty corner..... I'm posting here as anyone still using a 310XT must (I think) therefore still be importing via Garmin Express. Do you know how to stop Garmin Express auto-updating it's version number? I ask because I think the newest versions (5.7) are not compatible with Windows Vista anymore. (I don't desire to upgrade my windows, or my machine, right now - especially not since Garmin Express would be the only reason for it). My GE won't start at all - an error straight away. But if I uninstall, and then go and install an older version - that works fine. I can run GE, sync with my 310 via ANT+, and training appears on GC and Fetch. and then overnight it auto-updates to 5.7 and won't even start up again. I've been through this a few times now. Can anyone help? |

Launch Express and click on the little cog to bring up the Settings. In General, untick Always keep Garmin Express running in the background (one of the reasons for having that option is for it to check for updates) In Schedule, select Never (it says device updates but I think that searches for Express updates as well). Vista is out of support now, and from a security point of view it would be a good call to update sooner rather than later. Annoying I know - I had a perfectly serviceable Vista laptop which I was using for presentations still (and is now running Linux in a new life monitoring MRI magnets, but that's not important right now). |
