Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

How long does the 310XT battery last for when running? I have a 100k in 3 weeks and expect to take between 14 and 15 hours.

Mine used to give 19.

Stick it outside running and see how long it lasts?

That's the plan now flanker. After tomorrow's long run.

Let it run flat, and when you charge it should have the last run recorded as the time until it died.

I only got 15.5 hours out of mine. I hadn't switched vibrate off though. I used a powerbank (£10 from amazon, bit bigger than a AA battery) to keep it topped up in my bag while running in a 24 hour and it kept going for 36 hours (I forgot to switch it off!)

I've been having fun with my 310xt not uploading certain runs and switching itself off when charging. I did a hard reset once I'd got everything uploaded and had same problem with very first next activity to upload. I might delete the copies of local FIT files and stuff in case that's the problem, but it's all a bit random. :-) G

Flanker, not long ago I lost a good run cos the battery ran out mid run but I should have checked the battery level before hand.

Suppose, as HappyG says, turning off any of the alerts would extend the time.

turning off alerts, light, vibration and any sensors all makes a slight difference.

Strange that it lost the run though - whenever I've done that I've had the data up to the point it died as it writes the data as it goes.

I used mine for a 15hour 13 minute ultra and it had juice left it in at the end, and it was about 2 years old at the time. I am having issues with Garmin Express and it at the moment, not always syncing. Gets there in the end, but days and a few goes after....

Mag, I try to clear any runs off the history after syncing. Think it helps.
