A suggestion here that the barometer might confusingly be at the root of this. Might be misinformation.

I’m pretty sure it must be some sort of buggy update and will probably be sorted in a day or two. I’m not going to bother trying endless cycles of resetting for a while, it’s only going to miss a couple of jogs.

Interesting that it's a GPS issue. Based on that, I'll set up a a profile for running using indoor track which should allow me to time activities and get a good approximation of distance based on my indoor race on Sunday.

That makes the beta software bug where the F7/Epix units crashed hard at the end of a step in a planned workout look downright benign. I wonder if they have a Coros mole in the dev team?

Mine crashed when I went into the run setting. Tried resetting without any success. I have an older garmin i am charging up so at least I have a watch.

Garmin have now posted that they are aware of the issue and they say it seems to be GPS-related.

I did note on the Reddit page someone saying they had it happen on a strength workout. Might take a standard watch to track later just in case.

I think I’ll recharge my 735 ready for my run tomorrow. The 255 managed to record a swim this morning but that’s all I’ve asked of it so far so who knows?

I have the same problem with my Garmin 955, frustrating to say the least. Like ultracat I have an older watch I can use but loathe to try anything involving GPS for the time being in case that one goes too!
