Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Shouldn't affect it- I think that's Chile suddenly deciding to change its summer time switch date by a week.

Ah, I think the Garmin Connect app got updated on my phone earlier. That might explain it, although why it would change it I cannot fathom.

larkim, I think that feature on Spotify is premium only so it may be that the watch app hasn't recognised your premium account?

I'll have a look at that, but doubt my watch doesn't know about the premium status otherwise I wouldn't be allowed any offline playback at all, would I?

Correct. You need a subscription to get the offline access (unless it's changed recently, and I can't see Spotify giving it away for free!)

I've googled around and it seems like a niche issue so likely just something that won't work on my watch as they introduced the feature a while after the watch was launched. Be interesting to see if it works on the newer generation I suppose (255 etc).

I have a 955 and so could test it if you want. Let me know the podcast and I'll see if it works

Garmin customer service is pretty good. Not had a reason to use them before but my 245 broke at the strap connection and they are replacing it.

Was going to use my old FR230 while that was sorted but that has stopped connecting to GPS so they're giving me 30% off on a trade in trade up.

Heard lots of good things about garmin's customer service generally. They seem to get it right most of the time.
