Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

I have one of their smart helmets which they are already not doing firmware fixes for, even though they acknowledged the bug I found and have rolled it out for other helmets. Not impressed.

It’s all the surrounding infrastructure that’s why a Garmin is double the price or a Coros despite them being roughly feature-compatible, not that I rate Connect as any use at all. That and a dominant market position.

And I speak as a Garmin use of close to 20 years. Not sure I’d make the same choice if starting anew. And maybe even not for the next one.

They are by no means perfect - remember when recording an activity in another timezone caused the 310 to corrupt itself when it finally sync'd - but their large market share does mean they can afford to support older kit for longer. Had an update on my fenix just yesterday

Is Garmin Connect down for anyone else? I can't get access to the website and my watch isn't syncing...

We’re sorry.

Something went wrong, and our site is temporarily unavailable.
We’re already working to get things back on course.
