For me it's a vibes thing, @Cheg . I've certainly not done the research but the phrase "Injury-hit Spurs" and similar seem to have been regular headlines for as long as I can remember, and feels like it's more so than other clubs. Yes, injuries can be from a lot of causes beyond just the training and facilities remits, but if there's a consistent pattern (and I don't know that there is with spurs statistically) then maybe that's an area that should be looked into by Levy et al before just sacking another manager and rolling on again with the next one. |

I suspect it's more of a cultural issue why Spurs think they have lots of injuries. Liverpool and Arsenal only ever drop points when the referee is biased. Spurs only drop points because someone was injured. City only drop points due to fixture congestion. Over decades Spurs have used injuries as their excuse so that's why it seems worse. It's also why you don't associate Spurs with bad refereeing decision, even though all clubs will get their fair share.

Spurs have historically had bang average squads so an injury hits them harder because the next guy in is a level or two below.

I think there is a subtle difference between not trying to lose and not trying to win. Mourinho over the years has achieved great success with starting with the premise of keeping it tight. |

Right back to the Spurs injuries, who have been their big misses this season?

Is it not mainly centre backs? Archie Gray has been playing there to some acclaim, despite being typically a midfielder. Otherwise, Richarlison may be though they haven't been short of goals. Oh, for the days clubs won titles with about 14 players yet played FA Cup replays, two-legged League Cup ties, and on mud fields. And none of these daft far flung tours to sell shirts rather than win prizes. |
